Senior Analytics Engineer Our client is a fast-growing international media business operating across multiple content platforms and markets. Data sits at the heart of everything they do from understanding how audiences engage with their content to how they monetise and grow their platform. They are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to help build the data foundation that powers those decisions.
About the role
This is a hands on engineering role with real influence. The successful candidate will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders across the media platform to design, build, and maintain high-quality data models that power everything from content performance reporting to audience insights. You will also play a key role in simplifying and modernising the BI layer making data more accessible, more reliable, and less reliant on manual intervention.

What you will be doing
Design, scope, and build data models across content, audience, and commercial domains, working closely with data engineers and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions Simplify and modernise the BI layer by standardising definitions into the core data stack, reducing complexity and manual overhead Refactor existing reporting models into clean, performant upstream data models that are easier to maintain and build on Support data scientists in building and validating data models, ensuring the data they work with is accurate, well-documented, and ready to use Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling to ensure reliable, automated deployment of data assets Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, translating complex data requirements into clear solutions and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Requirements
Strong SQL and Python skills with hands-on experience across platforms such as dbt, Airflow, Databricks, or Looker
Solid understanding of analytics engineering and data engineering best practices including data warehousing, data modelling, performance optimisation, observability, and governance
Experience using BI tools in a platform engineering capacity as well as providing frontline support to business users
Experience working with large-scale operational data across multiple business functions in a fast-moving environment
Strong commercial instincts and familiarity with media and content metrics such as audience retention, subscriber growth, content monetisation, and platform engagement
Excellent communication skills with the ability to reduce ambiguity, explain complex topics clearly, and deliver incrementally in a fast-moving environment
Able to work autonomously, take ownership of features, and contribute meaningfully to the team's technical roadmap
