Head of AI Operations

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to own something meaningful from day one. We are bringing in an experienced operational leader to define and drive how AI transforms the way our business works not as a side project, but as a core strategic priority with full executive backing and a real budget behind it.
You will have access to every part of the business. You will work with the people closest to the work, understand where the friction is, and redesign how things get done. Then you will make it happen building, shipping, and embedding solutions that stick. The measure of success here is not how many tools get evaluated. It is how much faster, cheaper, and better we operate six months from now.
If you have led operational transformation before, know how to get organisations to genuinely change how they work, and have hands-on experience delivering AI in a commercial environment this is the role for you.
What the first six months look like
- Identify and map the highest-value operational workflows across the business agree priorities with leadership and move quickly on quick wins
- Deliver 2 to 3 operational improvements into production with clear, measurable business outcomes
- Build a prioritised roadmap with ROI estimates and clear build versus buy recommendations · Establish a reporting framework that gives leadership visibility on what is working and what is not
- Leave the business with a culture where AI is embedded into daily operations not a project that sits in the background, but a competitive advantage the whole team feels
Requirements
- A proven track record of driving operational change inside a fast-moving, commercially ambitious business with measurable outcomes to back it up
- At least 2 years delivering AI or automation projects in a live business environment not consulting on them, not evaluating them, shipping them
- The commercial sharpness to think in time saved, cost reduced, and revenue impacted and the credibility to present that clearly to a leadership team · Real experience getting organisations to adopt new ways of working the patience, communication skills, and persistence to bring people with you
- A background in a high-volume, fast-moving consumer industry media, entertainment, fintech, or e-commerce is a strong advantage
- The ability to operate independently in an international, fast-paced environment where priorities move quickly and ownership is expected
