San Marcos was where I developed my passion for the outdoors and tailgating with my friends.

Hey, I&rsquo;m Susan &ndash; Manager at Signify Technology currently providing recruitment solutions for innovative Tech companies and Scala houses across Europe, primarily focused on placing Functional Programming Engineers into Contract / Freelance roles!
Joining Signify back in Summer 2017, I was a rookie to the recruitment industry, but since then have gained some invaluable experience, enabling me to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and candidates in the Scala community!
This has allowed me to achieve way more than I could have hoped for during the first few years of my career &ndash; from gaining 3 promotions, holding several company records including Signify&rsquo;s first ever &pound;1 Million Biller, finishing 2ndTop Performer 2019, to finally reaching my number one goal of Signify Technology&rsquo;s Top Performer in 2020!!

I was previously a professional footballer and played for Watford FC, which allowed me to gained experience in the professional sporting industry. A huge interest of mine is travelling and experiencing different environments and I have visited over 14 countries. ​Why do I do, what I do?
I like helping others. I like finding solutions to problems, whether it being mathematical or even operational. I enjoy passing on knowledge, in a methodical way, which empowers others, and proves numbers aren&rsquo;t as scary as they may seem!
What else do I do, when I am not doing what I do? (how many times did you need to read that??)
When I do not have my head in spreadsheets, pivoting tables, or looking at all the fun financial reports, I enjoy watching football regularly (as a Charlton fan, very rarely is it enjoyable), as well as trying to go on holiday where possible! ️
I did not manage to get on a plane, until my early 20s, so am trying to make up for it now, going to as many countries as I can!

Where to start...​
I got into finance purely by chance, I had to take an extra subject in my final year of A levels as I dropped Maths and ended up picking Finance as a friend was also doing it. 11 years later and I've worked in finance in the recruitment industry for 9 years and have loved every minute.
As you might expect, I love a good spreadsheet! But I also love the fast pace atmosphere you find in recruitment, and you rarely have 2 days that are the same.​
Outside of work I'm your typical nerd. On the weekend it's a 50/50 shot if you'd find me with my head in a book, or in a pitcher of cocktails. I also think I'm the one of the few who doesn't love football!

I am very excited to be joining Signify Technology as a Finance Administrator. This is a great opportunity for me to develop a long-term career within finance.
I love the continuous challenge that a career in finance brings, I enjoy finding solutions and working in a fast-paced environment.
This is my first job in the City so I am looking forward to exploring on my travels to and from work!
Outside of work I love spending time with my friends and family. On the weekend you will find me out spending all my money in Zara or eating out. My favourite place in the world is on holiday in the sunshine with a cocktail in hand!

​Hi there, it&rsquo;s lovely to meet you! My name is Samantha Smylie and I am Signify Technology&rsquo;s new HR Manager.
I entered the Recruitment Industry back in 2017 and immediately fell in love with the fast-paced nature of the industry &ndash; there truly never was a dull day! Whilst I started out as a Recruitment Consultant within a boutique firm, I began to realise just how much I loved being involved with areas of the business that weren&rsquo;t necessarily on my original job spec &ndash; training and coaching new employees, driving engagement and culture, delivering employee feedback, contributing to our internal hiring strategy, etc. After taking a few months off to backpack across South-East Asia, it hit me that I am a people-person through and through, and so the wonderful world of Human Resources would be my next stop.
My journey as a HR professional within both the corporate world of Gas and Oil and the extremely high-growth Executive Search industry, has been incredibly exciting. From helping my last organisation grow by over 140 new employees within 1.5 years, to introducing numerous new policies and improved processes, managing the end-to-end employee relations process, amplifying conversations and incentives around Diversity and Inclusion and mental health, rolling out Employee Resource Groups to create community and drive culture, and providing support to enhance the leadership and coaching capabilities of Managers &ndash; it has been one wild ride! I am so excited to use this experience to further drive growth, culture and success at Signify Technology.
Outside of work, I love travelling to new Countries with my travel partner (aka Husband) as much as possible! While at home in London, I love socialising with friends and checking out the endless number of new restaurants and bars that London has to offer. At this point, I like to think of myself as a pizza connoisseur, so please send any Italian restaurant suggestions my way. Though, to warn you, I am more of a &ldquo;Nandos over The Shard&rdquo; kind-of-girl!

I am the Global Learning &amp; Development Manager at Signify.
I have two passions, people, and problems. I love to support people to grow and develop. I also love finding solutions, in particular learning solutions that meet the growing demands of business.
My experience ranges from designing and delivering Early Careers, People Management, and Mentoring Programmes.
Outside of work I am learning to skateboard (which is terrifying as an adult) but pushes me outside of my comfort zone. Socialising with friends and family keeps me busy too. I&rsquo;m also not shy about saying Netflix and Heyu take up a lot of my time.

​Hi, I'm Lauren!
I have been in the recruitment industry for over 10 years now, having the privilege of working not only within the sales floor but most recently as the key support function for a busy board of directors. I pride myself on anticipating the needs of a CEO to a Recruitment Consultant, knowing their likes and dislikes before they do. After being with my previous company for many years and seeing it expand, I am so excited to join Signify Technology and be part of their vision.
I am the Operations Manager at Signify, ensuring processes get the best out of people and thrive on being kept busy! Busy working hard and busy living life. If you could give me an extra day in the week just to fit even more things in (professionally and personally) I would be eternally grateful but then again, I am a master of spinning plates.
Most people that know me well would probably call me a social butterfly who likes to meticulously plan every minute of her day. However, 2020 has given me the opportunity to slow down and take stock of what is important. For every delicious meal out or bottomless brunch enjoyed, I do try to counteract the guilt with a well-placed work-out. Work hard, play hard but it's all about balance, right?
I am lucky to have travelled to some beautiful places (Australia you will always have my heart) and I have a bucket list of amazing places I still need to tick off.

Over the last 3 years I have managed social media accounts, designed content and developed my copywriting skills through writing blogs. Having a background within fashion &amp; artistic projects, I have always led with a creative mindset.
Outside of the office, you&rsquo;ll either find me travelling around the world or out socialising with my friends, it&rsquo;s safe to say eating out could be one of my favourite things.
