One of our clients is an early-stage, venture-backed SaaS company whose platform serves two distinct user groups — individual end users navigating a structured process, and the organisations that support them. Their product is deployed across the US and growing quickly. This is a chance to join early and have genuine influence over where the product goes.

Role Overview
This is a senior individual contributor role — the company's first dedicated in-house designer. You'll own product design across two distinct surfaces: a consumer-facing product used by individuals, and an operational tool used by staff at client organisations. Multiple greenfield products are in active development, and those will be your immediate focus. Beyond building, you'll lay the groundwork for a design system and help establish how design works inside this organisation. For the right person, there's a clear path to a design leadership position as the team grows.

Responsibilities
Own end-to-end design across both mobile and web products — consumer-facing and B2B
Lead design on new products from the ground up, from initial discovery through to polished execution
Translate complex, data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive experiences for two very different user types
Partner with Product and Engineering to shape roadmaps and influence product direction
Begin establishing a unified design system to scale across the product suite
Plan and conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
Advocate for user-centred thinking and contribute to shaping design culture across the company

Required Skills and Experience
6+ years of product design experience
Portfolio that demonstrates both mobile-first consumer apps and complex B2B or enterprise tools
Proven track record designing 0?1 products in early-stage, fast-moving environments
Comfortable operating as a solo designer — self-directed, well-prioritised, and independently effective
Confident presenting design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong systems thinking with a demonstrated ability to simplify complex workflows through UX
Clear, direct communicator who can advocate for design across functions

Nice to Have
Experience designing for AI-powered tools or workflow automation products
Background designing complex operational or data-heavy software for institutional or enterprise users
Experience building or contributing to a design system from scratch
Interest in eventually growing into a design leadership role
