Job title: Senior Full-Stack Engineer (PHP / Laravel) – LATAM

Rate: $35 – $40 USD per hour
Role Location: 100% Remote (LATAM)

The company: Signify have partnered with an established US-based HR technology company serving businesses nationwide. The team you'll be joining operates in English as their working language, so professional fluency in English is required.

Role and Responsibilities: Join as a full-stack engineer working across a PHP backend with a modern, separately deployed frontend. You'll work alongside an experienced existing engineering team during an onboarding period, picking up deep domain knowledge before taking ownership of your own workstreams.

The guiding engineering principle here is "right tool for the right job" — the long-term direction is PHP (Laravel) and React, with Python and Vue in the current mix. You'll contribute across the stack, including API design, frontend features and AWS infrastructure.

Job Requirements: Strong hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel, plus React. Working knowledge of Python and Vue, as the current codebase spans both. AWS infrastructure experience is a strong plus. Compliance-aware engineering background is highly valued — HIPAA/HiTech, SOC 2, fintech or HR tech experience, including practices like encryption of sensitive data at rest. We're looking for engineers with an ownership mentality and deep fundamentals — people who can diagnose problems from first principles and who understand what needs to happen before reaching for AI tooling.
