Senior Python AI Engineer – UK

Location: UK

Salary: £70,000–£90,000

Working: Remote, with occasional client-site travel

We are working with a leading AI engineering consultancy building an Agentic AI platform for a major global enterprise organisation.

We are looking for a Senior Python Engineer to join a highly technical team working across the full lifecycle of the platform — from building core engineering capabilities through to deploying solutions directly into customer environments.

This is a Forward Deployed Engineering position. You will work hands-on building an Agentic AI platform before working directly with customers to deploy and implement solutions within their environments.

The role is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to client sites across Europe. Typically, this will be around 3 days every couple of months, depending on project requirements. All travel and expenses are covered.

What we're looking for

  • Strong commercial Python experience
  • FastAPI experience is highly desirable
  • Experience with cloud platforms and Kubernetes
  • Strong platform / infrastructure understanding
  • Comfortable working with AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, technically demanding environment

Interview process

  1. 30-minute talent call
  2. 1-hour live coding interview
  3. 45-minute conversational hiring manager interview

If you're a senior Python engineer looking to work directly on the development and deployment of an Agentic AI platform, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
