I’m looking to recruit a Tech Lead (C++/Python) to take ownership of top-level robot application development at a pioneering robotics company. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide architecture, integrate modules across teams, and play a key part in deploying real-world robotics systems.
Developing and maintaining top-level robot application code.
Integrating modules from cross-functional teams: controls, navigation, computer vision, reinforcement learning, and platform.
Designing and evolving application-side architecture and interfaces.
Making pragmatic technical decisions to accelerate delivery.
Collaborating with product teams to balance trade-offs and priorities.
Debugging systems in both simulation and real-world hardware.
Occasionally travelling to customer sites to test and validate deployments.
5+ years’ experience in robotics or related fields.
Strong C++ skills with a track record of building production systems.
Solid understanding of robotic systems: control, navigation, perception, and learning.
Experience with ROS/ROS2 or equivalent middleware.
Ability to read, understand, and integrate code from other teams.
Hands-on approach to robots, test setups, and hardware debugging.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have:
Experience deploying robots in the field or at customer sites.
Familiarity with telemetry, logging, and system diagnostics.
Exposure to operator UX and teleoperation systems.
Comfort working under uncertainty and with real-world constraints.
