Software Engineer, Front End – Remote USA

We’re seeking a motivated Software Engineer with a passion for crafting tools and managing applications across cloud and on-premise environments. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Applied Genomics team to develop and expand our software platform, the foundation of our applications.
  • Tackle diverse, exciting challenges, including:
    • Managing large data sets.
    • Navigating regulated environments.
    • Ensuring portability and scalability.
    • Optimizing cloud infrastructure and deployment.
  • Note: This is an essential but not exhaustive list of duties—responsibilities may evolve with business needs.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Front-End Skills:
    • Strong UI development with Angular 15+Micro FrontendAG Grid/Kendo UIHTML5CSS3JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Back-End Skills:
    • Proficiency in OOP languages like Java.
    • Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
  • Scripting: Advanced skills in Bash and Python.
  • Databases: Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.
  • DevOps:
    • Familiarity with container technologies (DockerKubernetes).
    • Proficiency in Linux and command-line tools.
    • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms (deployment pipelines, network config, account policies, etc.).
  • Architecture: Proven knowledge of web technologies and microservices.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Curious, analytical, and a fast learner.
    • Customer-focused, team-oriented, and self-motivated with strong ownership of tasks.
    • Able to self-manage and build interdisciplinary relationships.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
