The Role
They are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to play a key role in underwriting delivery, portfolio growth, and client engagement. This is a customer-facing position, requiring regular interaction with brokers, partners, and insureds, alongside hands-on underwriting responsibility.
The successful candidate will bring deep Lloyd’s market expertise, strong commercial judgement, and the credibility to represent the business externally while shaping profitable underwriting outcomes internally.
Preferred Background
- Experience underwriting within Cyber, Climate / ESG-related risks, and/or Professional Liability.
- Exposure to complex, specialty, or emerging risk classes within Lloyd’s.
Essential Experience & Skills
- 10+ years’ underwriting experience within the Lloyd’s of London market (non-negotiable).
- Proven track record of underwriting complex risks and managing broker relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to make confident, independent decisions.
- Comfortable operating in a client-facing, relationship-driven role.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
