Senior Software Engineer – Studio Tech
Location: Glendale, CA (Onsite)

We’re partnering with a leading global media and entertainment company to help grow their internal Studio Technology team. They’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build a secure, high-performance screening platform used for internal distribution of pre-release content.

This is a backend-focused engineering role ideal for someone who enjoys working with high-scale systems, modern development tools, and collaborative engineering teams.


Responsibilities

  • Build scalable, production-grade services in a collaborative, agile environment.

  • Develop backend applications using Java, Kotlin, and Node.js.

  • Work with containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Develop and integrate solutions using AWS tools like EKS, S3, and Cognito.

  • Participate in architectural discussions and provide input on technical decisions.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Work closely with other engineers and technical stakeholders across the team.

  • Engage in Agile/Scrum-based development cycles.


Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in backend development.

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and the Node.js runtime environment.

  • Experience with database management (SQL and/or NoSQL).

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with version control systems (Git).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.

  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-native application design.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.

  • Exposure to streaming media workflows is a plus.

  • Comfortable working in Agile development environments.
