Job title: Senior .NET Developer

Job type: Contract

Contract Length: 6 months

Rate: $25 – $30 USD per hour ($4,333 – $5,200 USD per month)

Role Location: 100% Remote (Argentina)

This is a remote contract for our US-based client. The contractor works from Argentina for a US team. The team operates in English as their working language; Professional Fluency in English (minimum) is required.

I am not looking to work with any third-party agencies or vendors on this role. Seriously guys, please don't call me. Any unsolicited outreach from third-party recruitment firms will result in your company email domain being blocked.

The company:

An established US-based aerospace technology company — one of our agency's longer-standing clients. The work supports a mission-critical operational platform.

Role and Responsibilities:

Maintaining and modernising a mission-critical .NET application — a mixed VB.NET and C# codebase running on IIS / Windows Server, with integrations across SQL Server, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Excel VBA macros, Power Automate, and BI tools. A partial VB.NET to C# migration is in progress. There is a hard deadline tied to a live operational milestone — it does not move.

  • Maintain and extend the existing VB.NET and C# codebase
  • Continue the partial VB.NET to C# migration pragmatically — modernise where it matters, leave what's stable alone
  • Build and optimise SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and integrations
  • Deliver against a hard deadline with minimal onboarding

Job Requirements:

  • 8+ years .NET experience — BOTH VB.NET and C# required, this is non-negotiable
  • Current VB.NET use within the last 12 months — primary screen, no exceptions
  • Pragmatic with legacy codebases — knows what to modernise vs what to leave alone
  • Strong SQL Server: queries, stored procedures, optimisation

Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience working alongside teams based in the US, Canada, or Europe
  • Prior partial-migration or modernisation project experience
  • Mission-critical or safety-sensitive application background

Please note we are unable to offer employer sponsorship for this role.
