The company:

Our client is an established consumer technology business with a subscription and rewards-driven platform used by a large, active customer base. Data is at the heart of the organisation, driving decisions across marketing, pricing, customer engagement, and product strategy.

As the business continues to invest in advanced analytics and AI, they're building next-generation agentic analytics capabilities, giving this role the opportunity to influence how intelligent analytical systems are developed and embedded into day-to-day decision making.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain customer segmentation, propensity, and scoring models to optimise lifecycle marketing.
  • Partner with marketing teams to design, execute, and evaluate experimentation frameworks.
  • Apply statistical analysis to pricing, rewards, and revenue optimisation initiatives.
  • Own and evolve A/B testing frameworks across product, marketing, and monetisation, using both Bayesian and frequentist methodologies.
  • Define hypotheses, success metrics, and post-experiment recommendations alongside cross-functional teams.
  • Translate recurring analytical processes into scalable agentic analytics workflows.
  • Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to develop robust data models and metric definitions.
  • Create clear visualisations and communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the growth of the wider analytics function.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a Data Scientist role.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical analysis, experimental design, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
  • Hands-on experience with both frequentist and Bayesian approaches to experimentation (including tools such as PyMC).
  • Proven experience delivering lifecycle marketing analytics and optimisation.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large-scale data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar).
  • Strong Python or R programming skills, including experience with data science and machine learning libraries (e.g. pandas, scikit-learn, tidyverse).
  • Experience creating impactful data visualisations and presenting insights to business stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analysis into commercial recommendations.
  • Familiarity with agentic analytics workflows and AI-assisted analytical processes.
  • Strong attention to data quality, governance, and metric accuracy.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with loyalty or rewards programmes, performance marketing, or market research.
  • Experience with deep learning techniques.
  • Experience building dashboards in modern BI platforms.
  • Experience developing agentic analytics workflows.
  • Experience building internal data applications using tools such as Streamlit or Shiny.
