Role and responsibilities: This Senior Software Engineer role involves working in a technical environment with other software engineers to develop innovative networking solutions in a systematic manner.

• Developing and maintaining our backend systems written in Scala and the Play Framework
• Designing and implementing significant new features and new products
• Maintaining technical excellence and adopting new technologies
• Optimize and troubleshoot backend services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Communicating clearly and precisely

Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development
• 2+ years experience building web services with Scala
• 2+ years of data-modeling experience
• Must possess native-level English speaking and writing proficiency
• Expertise in building distributed systems and working with Akka or Pekko, including Actors, Streams, and HTTP

• Experience with Cats Effect (or a similar functional effect system such as ZIO)
