Job title: Scala Engineer

Job type: Permanent

Salary: €70,000 - €80,000

Role Location: Berlin or Hamburg

The company: 
Signify are partnered with a highly excited, forward-thinking and tech driven company who are expanding their engineering team, and searching for engineers skilled within Scala development and tools such as ZIO and Akka. 

Role and responsibilities:
- Build and optimize APIs for real-time service coordination
- Handle request processing, order validation, and fulfillment
- Work with gRPC, Protobuf, event streams, and actor-based systems
- Maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, CDK)
- Improve automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability
- Write robust, testable, and scalable Scala code

Job requirements:
- Solid background within Scala (3+ years)
- Experienced with technologies such as ZIO and Akka
- Strong testing and DevOps mindset (AWS, Kubernetes...)
- Knowledge of tools like Grafana, Prometheus, OpenSearch
