Job Title: Sales Engineer
Salary: $170,000 – $190,000 base
Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, CA 

A well-funded AI startup is hiring a Sales Engineer to help enterprise customers build and integrate GenAI into production systems. This company builds cutting-edge AI tools for developers and is expanding its team to meet growing customer demand.

In this role, you’ll go beyond traditional demos by analyzing codebases, prototyping AI features, and driving real-world integrations. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to guide PoCs, shape client workflows, and clearly communicate the business value of technical solutions. Strong backend and Python skills are important, along with familiarity with LLM APIs, prompting techniques, and DevOps/infrastructure basics.

This role is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and helping them realize the potential of AI in their products.

Requirements

• Software engineering background with Python and API development

• Experience with LLMs, prompting, and/or building GenAI applications

• Able to prototype quickly with tools like OpenAI, LangChain, or similar

• Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset
