Job Title: Sales Engineer
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 base
Location: Hybrid in Redwood City, CA (2 days/week onsite)

A high-growth Series B startup is hiring a Sales Engineer to help enterprise customers build the next generation of GenAI applications. Backed by top-tier investors and trusted by Fortune 500 clients, this company is building cutting-edge GenAI SaaS tools. 

As a Sales Engineer, you’ll serve as the technical linchpin across sales, product, and engineering. This is not just a demo role, you’ll dive deep into client codebases, lead integrations, and shape real-world AI deployments. You should bring a strong software engineering background and be comfortable working with GenAI APIs, backend systems, and tools like LangChain or Streamlit.

You’ll guide customer PoCs, prototype custom workflows, and turn technical requirements into deployed solutions. Success in this role means building trust with engineering stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and clearly articulating the business value of highly technical solutions.

This role is perfect for someone with experience building LLM apps or AI tooling who thrives at the intersection of engineering and customer engagement. If you are a software engineer looking to dive deeper into interfacing with customers, then this is the role for you!

Requirements

  • Proven software engineering background (Python, APIs, LLMs)

  • Experience building or integrating GenAI apps

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Comfortable debugging code, designing workflows, and shipping production-quality prototypes

  • Interest or experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or ML tooling

  • Ability to translate ambiguous needs into working solutions
