Job Requirements:
KEY RESP
- Define and implement performance test plans (load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, failover)
- Model real-world streaming traffic (burstiness, fan-out, cache hit/miss, cold-start, geo distribution, p95/p99/p999)
- Develop automated load frameworks using Locust (Python) or JMeter, including data parameterization and correlations
- Manage distributed load generation (cloud workers, containers) to simulate millions of users
- Integrate with observability tools (CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana) to correlate metrics, logs, and traces across JVM, Akka, network, caches, and databases
- Produce capacity models, SLA/SLO dashboards, and integrate performance gates in CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps and developers to optimize thread pools, GC, autoscaling, caching, and database performance
- Document test designs, scenarios, results, and actionable remediation plans
TECH STACK
- Locust (Python), JMeter (k6, Gatling nice-to-have); Python, Bash, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes; CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana; Java (Maven/Gradle, JVM/GC basics); Akka concepts are a plus
