Role and responsibilities:
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the company’s technology offerings. Your work will focus on building and scaling a client-facing web application and developing internal tools to streamline operations. Key responsibilities include:
Architecting, designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications as a Lead Software Engineer.
Collaborating with product and engineering teams to execute the product roadmap, driving innovative features for client and internal applications.
Owning feature development from design to deployment, ensuring frequent releases to gather actionable feedback.
Leading and scaling the engineering team, establishing a strong culture, norms, and best practices.
Overseeing all aspects of the system, including backend, frontend, and dev-ops, to ensure seamless performance.
Job requirements:
To succeed as a Lead Software Engineer, you should bring:
9+ years of software development experience, including work on consumer-facing applications with tens of thousands of users.
Extensive expertise in Ruby on Rails and experience with component-based JavaScript frameworks like Svelte, React, or Vue.
Strong skills in designing and building cloud-native architectures, ideally on platforms like Heroku.
Proven experience with API integrations.
A passion for creating delightful user experiences.
Nice-to-haves: Familiarity with Salesforce development or APIs, document data extraction (PDFs/images), experience in regulated industries (e.g., Legal, Healthcare, Fintech), or an interest in generative AI applications.
