Job title: Lead Engineer
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: $180,000-$230,000
Role Location: US

The Company: We partnered with a fast-growing, product-driven company that’s building a modern software platform to transform the legal industry. They operate like a startup within a profitable, established business, with clear product-market fit, strong revenue, and an expanding base of real users.

They’re now hiring a Lead Software Engineer to help accelerate their roadmap. This role will focus heavily on marketing-related engineering, including A/B testing, rate optimization, and building tools that drive measurable business outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-impact, early-stage engineering team that’s solving real-world problems with software — all while working in a mission-aligned environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own major feature development across the stack, from discovery through delivery
  • Lead efforts on client-facing and internal tools that improve both engagement and team operations
  • Design and implement A/B testing infrastructure and analytics integrations
  • Collaborate closely with product and operations to identify high-impact growth experiments
  • Help establish engineering culture, best practices, and technical direction
Tech Stack
  • Backend: Ruby on Rails, Postgres
  • Frontend: Hotwire, Tailwind, Svelte (React or Vue also welcome)
  • Infrastructure: Heroku, Salesforce
  • Tooling: Feature flags, custom analytics, experimentation frameworks
Ideal Background
  • 7+ years of engineering experience, with deep expertise in Ruby on Rails
  • Proven experience working on marketing-focused features like A/B testing, funnel optimization, or growth experiments
  • Comfortable with modern frontend development using component-based frameworks (e.g., React, Svelte, or Vue)
  • Strong product sense and a bias for shipping high-quality user experiences
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with matching
  • Generous PTO and paid holidays
  • Fully remote with optional team meetups
