Job title: Infrastructure Architect
Job type: Contract
Contract Length: 12 months plus extension
Rate: €600 - €650 a day
Role Location: The Hague, Netherlands
Role and Responsibilities:
- Designing and evolving infrastructure architectures: networking, storage, virtualisation, and mobility
- Supporting implementation of high-impact solutions across data centres, WAN, and cloud platforms
- Writing and maintaining technical standards and architectural documentation
- Advising on product selection, capacity planning, and disaster recovery
- Working within agile or Prince2 project frameworks
- Supporting engineering teams and contributing to strategic decisions
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years in ICT Infrastructure Architecture
Strong experience in at least 3 of the following:
- Data Centre Infrastructure Design
- Network Design
- Enterprise Storage Design
- Backup/Archiving Design
- Disaster Recovery
Good knowledge of:
- Enterprise-class storage (block, file, object)
- Networking (LAN/WAN/VPN/wireless)
- Virtualisation, containerisation, and server OS
- DR & Business Continuity
- Experience on a minimum of 5 infrastructure-related projects
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Fluent English (B2+)
Nice to have:
- Cloud platform experience (Azure/AWS)
- Infrastructure as Code / DevOps tooling
- Archimate or EA modelling
- InfoSec & observability tooling (SIEM, firewalls, data diodes)
