Data and Integration Architect
Job type: Contract, Contract-To-Hire
Contract Length: 9 months, with potential for full-time conversion or extension
Rate: $75-$95 per hour
Role Location: Remote
A SaaS software company dedicated to innovative, data-driven solutions is looking to add a Data and Integration Architect to its team. You’ll design scalable, reusable solutions.
Role and Responsibilities:

  • Defining and evolving conceptual, logical, and physical data models for consistency and efficiency.
  • Developing unified data models with extensible architectures for customer-specific needs.
  • Leading governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with privacy standards.
  • Guiding database and data management decisions for performance and cost-effectiveness using tools like Snowflake and AWS.
  • Standardizing API and data exchange patterns for seamless integration across systems.
  • Advocating event-driven architectures for scalable integrations.
  • Implementing high-performance APIs and supporting data flow processes with MuleSoft.
  • Balancing strategic vision with hands-on modeling and architecture reviews.
  • Delivering reusable patterns to accelerate development, leveraging Matillion for pipeline efficiency.
  • Mentoring your team on modern data and integration principles.
  • Optimizing infrastructure reliability and security with operations teams using AWS.
  • Ensuring data quality and integrity across the data lifecycle.
  • Defining monitoring and data lineage strategies for transparency.
Job Requirements:
  • Expertise in data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and database technologies.
  • Proficiency with cloud-native solutions like Snowflake and AWS, and API design (REST, asynchronous).
  • Experience with data warehouses and integration patterns, enhanced by tools like Matillion and MuleSoft.
  • Knowledge of governance, security, and compliance practices.
  • Ability to simplify complex data systems and design scalable solutions.
  • Awareness of regulated industry compliance.
