Job Title: Azure Kubernetes Engineer
Salary: $60/hr - $90/hr (USD)
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada OR Los Angeles (Hybrid)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize Azure AKS clusters for high availability, security, and scalability
- Implement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions
- Configure and manage Azure AKS IAM for secure access and permissions
- Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes cluster and deployment issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and application rollouts
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for Kubernetes operations
Requirements:
- Deep experience with Helm and Go templating for Kubernetes deployments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience managing AKS
- Experience running multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters at scale
- Proficiency with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
- Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals, networking, and container orchestration
- Familiarity with Kubernetes CNI (Container Network Interface) plugins
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Crossplane for infrastructure management through Kubernetes
- Strong background in Policy as Code tools (e.g., OPA, Kyverno)
- Expertise in configuring and managing Azure AKS IAM policies
