Job title: Application Architect
Job type: Remote
Contract Length: 6 months plus extension
Role Location: Remote from Portugal
Client Industry: Accounting
Role and Responsibilities:
- Defining application and cloud architecture
- Designing API-first, microservices-based systems
- Leading Python backend development
- Working on AI / agent-based solutions (LangChain, LangGraph, Llama, etc.)
- Collaborating with engineering leadership in the UK (Scotland)
Job Requirements:
- 4–7+ years as a Senior Engineer / Tech Lead / Architect
- Strong modern architecture experience
- Comfortable owning technical decisions and guiding others
