
Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) – High-Traffic Esports Platform (Remote, EU Timezone)
We are looking for experienced Backend Engineers with strong Golang experience and Java as a bonus to join a team building large-scale esports infrastructure. The platform powers fantasy-style products and tournament data systems supporting major global competitions, operating under high traffic and real-time data requirements.
You will be working on backend systems designed to handle high-throughput workloads, real-time data flows, and large-scale tournament infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build scalable backend services using Golang
• Contribute to backend systems built in Java where required
• Develop and maintain systems supporting high-traffic, real-time applications
• Work with MongoDB to manage large volumes of tournament and platform data
• Design and maintain microservices and distributed systems
• Optimize system performance, latency, and reliability under heavy load
Key Requirements
• Strong commercial experience with Golang
• Java experience is beneficial
• Experience building high-traffic or high-throughput systems
• Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• Strong understanding of microservices and distributed architecture
• Ability to work remotely within EU timezones
Nice to Have
• Experience with real-time platforms, gaming, esports, or fantasy products
• Experience working on large-scale event or tournament data platforms
• Background in performance optimization and highly scalable backend systems
