Chelsea Tate

Sales Performance Manager

I’m a Sales Performance Manager at Signify, supporting the Austin team with sales management and skill development for our recruitment consultants. My role focuses on helping people build confidence, sharpen their commercial skills, and perform consistently in fast-moving, high-pressure environments, without losing the human side of what we do.

I bring over 10 years of experience in tech and recruitment, spanning full-cycle (360) recruitment, training, and leadership development. Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with a wide range of US customers, from Fortune 500 organisations to SMBs and high-growth start-ups, including companies such as Skechers, Walgreens, Golden West Food Group, and Cora Organics.

Alongside client delivery, I’ve spent much of my career building people and teams. I designed and delivered a 3-month introductory training programme, an experienced-hire onboarding programme, and helped develop 30+ consultants across three states. My approach to learning and development is practical, real-time, and rooted in what actually works on the sales floor, not theory for theory’s sake.

My current focus is firmly on sales management and skill development, supporting consultants and leaders to grow sustainably, think commercially, and stay adaptable in an industry that’s constantly evolving.

Previously, I’ve worked across tech consultancies with a focus on training and development, as well as within the supply chain and procurement market in the CPG space in California, giving me broad exposure to different commercial models, hiring challenges, and market dynamics.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara, and I’m deeply values-driven in how I work.

At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: Relationships are everything.

"Chelsea is one of the most thoughtful, proactive, and caring educators I've had the pleasure of being taught by.

In a world increasingly dominated by automation, it's people like Chelsea who truly deserve celebration.

Chelsea brought an understanding of humans to every training session that I've not seen before. Every session was carefully crafted and incredibly organic. I was upskilled from the first conversation, and that was only amplified over time, both directly and indirectly.

Chelsea made an effort to upskill from behind the scenes, likely (thankfully) working outside of her general job description. She constantly sought areas of improvement and developed the most real-time, real-world coaching I've experienced at any company I've worked for.

Chelsea kept her finger on the pulse because she cares, not because she was paid, and that's what sets her apart. She cares more than most, and that care oozes out of Chelsea.

The most badass L&D Penknife I've known, and a dang good human. – You can quote me on that.

If anyone is reading this and considering a conversation with Chelsea, please do. I would gladly learn from, be coached by, mentored by, and upskilled by Chelsea anytime."
