Job Title: Senior Software Developer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid)

Signify Technology have partnered with a forward-thinking product-based company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions. .

They are looking for experienced Senior Software Developer with a strong background with either Java, Kotlin, or Scala. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Portuguese, has a solid understanding of AWS, Kubernetes, and databases, and has a proven track record of working in product-based companies.

Candidates must be based in Portugal. 

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient software applications using Java, Kotlin, or Scala.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Optimize existing systems for scalability and performance.

Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure using AWS.

Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.

Engage in database design, optimization, and management.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices.

Qualifications:

• 4+ professional experience as a software developer
• Strong experience with either Java, Kotlin or Scala (Willingness to learn Scala)
• Experience working in a product-based company is required.
• Strong experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of database management and optimization.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Good experience with System Design
