Job Title: Senior Software Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Contract Length: 6 months (initial) - ongoing project potential

Rate: $30 - $35 per hour

Pay to Candidate: Competitive hourly pay

Role Location: LATAM - Remote

A fast-growing software start-up in the augmented-intelligence space. The team is building a secure private AI platform for rigorous knowledge work that bundles and protects sensitive data. The company is focused on practical, production-ready ML/AI tools and values engineering discipline, collaboration, and ownership.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable web applications using modern TypeScript-based front-end frameworks.

• Work closely with product and engineering peers to ship features end-to-end.

• Contribute to backend services and integrations.

• Produce clean, well-tested, and documented code.

• Participate in architecture decisions, design reviews, and deployment processes.

• Help identify and resolve performance, stability, and security issues.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong experience in the TypeScript ecosystem and solid hands-on experience with Next.js (or equivalent SSR/SSG frameworks).

• Comfortable across the stack — familiarity with Node.js and/or Python for backend work.

• Good knowledge of API design, web app architecture, and CI/CD practices.

• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

• Able to take ownership and thrive in a start-up environment.
