Title: Software Engineer [Scala]
Length: Initial 6 months
Location: Remote (EU)

Your Impact:

- You will be closely involved in the architecture, design and implementation decisions that will shape our products.
- Your work will directly impact our mission to protect life by delivering robust features and services.
- You will design, develop, test, and maintain services, web interfaces, and client applications that require high availability and consistent performance.

Your Day-to-Day:

- Design and develop scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Write code that adheres to a high standard for quality, performance, security, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and assist in developing specifications and design reviews.
- Track the features you are delivering, clearly communicate status and risks to delivery.
- Participate in regular release management for services and client applications.
- Actively participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Collaborate with product owners and team members to break down complex requirements into manageable user stories and tasks.
- Continuously integrate and deliver software using Agile methodologies to ensure a seamless and rapid deployment of new features.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Development experience in languages such as Scala or Golang
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL data stores.
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub, TeamCity, ArgoCD, etc.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
