Job title: DevOps Engineer

Role Location: Athens - Hybrid 

The company: Rapidly expanding travel tech startup 

Role and responsibilities:
 

• Designing, provisioning, and managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform

• Supporting and evolving our hybrid environment – including on-prem data centers and Azure cloud setups

• Maintaining and upgrading Kubernetes clusters on-prem and ensuring smooth rollout of updates and features

• Managing custom PostgreSQL clusters, networking, storage, and compute resources

• Enhancing automation workflows using Python scripting, with a focus on Airflow pipelines to process and produce metadata for maritime-related data systems

• Ensuring infrastructure is secure, compliant, and backed up

• Supporting VMware environments within our on-prem infrastructure

Job requirements:
 

• Experience in both on-premise and cloud (Azure) environments

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, including operations and upgrade processes

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, networking fundamentals, and system-level operations

• Familiarity with Terraform, Python scripting, and ideally Airflow

• Understanding of VMware environments

• Experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
