Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design and deployment of a scalable, secure, and globally available SaaS platform. This role will play a pivotal part in transforming our client’s existing product into a cloud-native, multi-tenant solution hosted in Microsoft Azure.

You will define the cloud architecture, implement robust security measures, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems particularly around billing and usage-based invoicing. Working closely with a development team of 12, you’ll drive the technical strategy and oversee the transition from a traditional indirect sales model to a direct SaaS delivery model.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement a full SaaS model for the company’s product within Microsoft Azure.

• Architect and oversee multi-region deployments ensuring scalability, resilience, and high availability.

• Implement enterprise-grade security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., SIMSOCK, Microsoft security benchmarks).

• Develop and document architecture blueprints, infrastructure design, and operational management plans.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth integration with invoicing and billing systems for automated consumption tracking and payments.

• Advise on FinOps and cost-optimization strategies across multi-tenant Azure environments.

• Guide the transition from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-native architecture.

• Partner with development and product teams to align architecture with business goals and customer experience.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and deploying SaaS solutions in Azure.

• Proven track record in Azure Cloud Architecture, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), networking, and monitoring.

• Strong understanding of multi-tenant architectures and usage-based billing integrations.

• Expertise in Azure Active Directory, Entra ID, Key Vault, API Management, and Azure Security Center.

• Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost control in large-scale cloud environments.

• Experience implementing secure, high-performance systems capable of handling thousands of requests per second.

• Relevant Microsoft certifications in Azure Architecture or Security are highly desirable.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally in a hybrid setup.
