Job Description
Note: This is a remote opportunity, but the hires must be based in the Tri-State area (NY/NJ/CT) to visit the office as needed.
This organization known for enabling companies to be successful in the global economy is looking for a Lead level Scala Engineer that has Functional Scala development experience. They build a unique Platform as a Service for companies involved in transactional markets meant to solve all the complexities of an interconnected financial world. In addition to that, being well versed in distributed systems would be integral. Ideally you will be an experienced Functional engineer and be able to serve as a strong backend contributor.
Required Experience
- 8+ years of professional Software Engineering experience
- 5+ years of Functional Programming experience (ideally Scala, open to Haskell)
- 3+ years of leading and developing a team of engineers
- Confident in writing highly performant and efficient code
- Strong knowledge of DSA
- Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or similar
