At the moment, they’re in need of a senior-level engineer to contribute to their newly rebuilt, cutting-edge digital platform, which will host a wide range of applications for both enterprise and consumer use.


About the role:

This senior engineer will contribute to design, development, and deployment of this brand new platform which will improve the lives of millions of users. Working on many complex applications, systems, and infrastructure, this person will be relied upon by both their teammates and technical leadership to consistently deliver high-quality code with a focus on business applications. 

In many instances, you will also be serving as a project or team lead and may be looked to for direction and guidance from mid-level developers, so a passion for coaching or training is a great attribute for this position!


About you:

  • Demonstrable history working with Scala and the Typesafe stack; Akka, Akka-streams, Play framework, etc. (ideally 3+ years experience)

  • Experience with common programming languages like Java, Python, etc. (ideally 4+ years experience)

  • History of (or interest in) mentoring and assisting software engineers, providing technical assistance and direction as needed

  • Development with a focus on business-valuable features

  • Experience with the following technologies are a great bonus: NoSQL, RESTful APIs, microservices, event-driven tech, CI/CD tools, cloud technologies (particularly AWS), Apache Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Redis, Elasticsearch, and API Gateways.
