Job Description
One of the most unique roles I'm currently hiring for is with a cutting-edge, leading geolocation and IP intelligence company seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop their location data platform using functional Scala on their backend AWS microservice architecture.
This is an opportunity to join small but mighty growing team who are creating data-driven technology and applications using the power of location intelligence.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain Scala microservices with AWS
- Design, implement, and test
- Increase performance and reduce complexity through process optimization
- Strong focus on process automation
- Regularly contribute to build tools and Scala Libraries
Requirements: - Min of 5 years experience in software development
- 2+ years experience with Scala
- Build tools (Gradle, Maven, sbt) experience
- Prior platform development experience
- JVM language experience
- Proven knowledge of FP and OOP design principles
- Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS
- Spark experience a PLUS
