Job Description

This well-known organization in the Sports space is looking for Senior Scala Engineers that have Typelevel programming experience with Cats or ZIO. They build a unique platform used by millions of people daily and their systems handle everything related to real-time data and statistics. An engineer for this role must have worked on consumer facing applications that deal with large-scale, high-traffic, and issues of concurrency as you will be responsible for core platform engineering to support the entire application infrastructure. Ideally you will be an experienced Functional Programming engineer and be able to serve as a technical expert among the team of developers.

Required Experience

  • At least 7 years of professional Software Engineering experience
  • Expert level history with Scala and Typelevel development in production
  • Experienced in working on large-scale, high-traffic applications
  • Comfortable working with and mentoring junior developers
  • Must have a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
Desired Experience
  • High-level attention to detail
  • Familiar with working within Agile environments
  • Strong knowledge of functional programming paradigms
  • Able to support an evolving product roadmap to facilitate user needs
  • Bachelor's or Masters in Computer Science or similar
