Job Description
Open to remote located in USA or Canada - $100-$120/hr
We are seeking experienced Typelevel Scala Developers for a high visibility project with our client. They are building a highly scalable consumer facing product.
This is an opportunity for experienced Scala engineers that have worked with Typelevel technologies and/or ZIO. The ideal candidate will stand out with experience using Scala in the functional programming paradigm. Other functional programming languages will be considered if there is a desire to utilize Scala.
Key responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Designing, implementing, testing and operating services in Scala with Cats and ZIO
- Back end development focused on high availability, low latency, and scalability
Requirements
- 5+ years backend software development using JVM languages
- 2+ years using Scala with Typelevel libraries (Cats, Doobie, Shapeless, etc.)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
