Job Description
Senior Scala Engineer | £80,000- £94,000 | London – 1 day a weekI’m currently working with a super exciting FinTech company based in London that are experiencing solid growth and are now utilising a £200 million investment to scale the company and the product. This is a great opportunity to join a cross-functional squad and work closely with Frontend, Mobile & Test Engineers to improve and create app features.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop a global microservice architecture, influencing the direction of essential services and build tools
- Collaborate effectively with teams, utilising both tech stacks of Akka HTTP and Typelevel
- Partner with frontend, mobile, test engineers and Product Manager to build new features across apps
- Work with WA to build, test, release and monitor work
- Regularly be involved in pair programming, TDD and peer reviewing for resilient releases to global services
- Strong programming background in Scala (Akka HTTP/Cats/Cats Effect/Http4s/Circe)
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, working in a TDD environment and Spinnaker
- Effective communication and collaborative approach to work
