My client is looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join their growing sports data development team. They are continuing to build out a development group responsible for supporting their fast-paced sports data business. You will be a key team member tasked with further development of their platform to distribute low-latency, highly reliable, sporting data to our substantial customer base.
This role offers the opportunity to act as an integral member of a motivated and energetic team that provides solutions to a broad range of challenges in an everchanging industry whilst supporting rapidly expanding segment of the digital businesses.
What experience should I have to apply?
Several years of professional software development experience using Scala
Experience and enthusiasm to act as a technical leader and mentor
Extensive experience developing with multiple JVM technologies/libraries – Akka, Hazelcast, etc.
Strong experience with relational databases, ideally Postgres.
Experience with cloud services (especially AWS)
Great design and problem-solving skills, with examples of experience building simple implementations to complex problems.
Object orientated design experience
Sound API design skills and knowledge of HTTP principles
