Job Description
Role: Senior Scala Developer
Location: Oxford, England - Hybrid - 3-4 x per month
Salary: Up to £80,000+ bonus
Signify Technology technology are working with an AI-driven healthcare company whose aims are to intercept and treat lung cancer, where they are now expanding their engineering team to make a difference in the fight against lung cancer.
About You:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing Scala applications.
- Proficiency in adhering to best practices in both object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming (FP).
- Practical expertise in deploying and managing services within cloud infrastructures like Azure or AWS, while embracing infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
- Demonstrated persistence in overcoming challenges, with a knack for efficiently resolving obstacles and involving team members as needed. Requires minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Creating top-notch, thoroughly tested features aimed at enhancing early lung cancer detection and treatment.
- Actively exploring and introducing new technologies to the team to keep them at the forefront of innovation.
- Collaborating with product management, AI scientists, and the wider engineering team to develop features and functionalities.
- Assisting in the upkeep and enhancement of our cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Primarily working with Scala and occasionally utilizing Typescript, Python, and SQL in your development efforts.
