Job Description
Senior Engineering ManagerSignify are happy to announce a collaboration with one of the travel industry’s most innovative tech companies, in the search for their next Senior Engineering Manager. If appointed you will be responsible for managing an established team of software engineers, QAs and DevOps consultants, providing guidance and mentorship to help them reach their full potential. Alongside this, you will have the opportunity to also contribute directly to design and code using GoLang.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement software development strategies, processes, and procedures to ensure high-quality software solutions are delivered on schedule.
• Collaborate with the product team to gather requirements and provide technical guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring that the team is always focused on delivering quality software products.
• Work closely with the team to design, develop, and deploy software solutions using Golang and other relevant technologies.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the latest software development tools, technologies, and methodologies to ensure the team is working with the most effective and efficient tools available.
Benefits:
• Dependent on suitability, you could receive a salary of up to £120,000 per annum with 15% company bonus. Salary is reviewed annually.
• Remote working, with a requirement to be onsite in the London office twice a month for team meet ups.
• 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays).

Essential Requirements:
• 18 months minimum previous experiencing in formally managing a team, with direct reports of up to 4.
• 4+ years software engineer experience preferably in Golang. Java or Python is also acceptable.
• Proven experience with implementing agile software development methodologies and utilizing related tools such as Jira, Github, and Confluence.
• Experience in Kubernetes, Docker and AWS.
• Exemplary technical communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a software development team, fostering an encouraging and collaborative environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/related field/sufficient professional experience.
