Job Description

My client is a fast-growing player in the consumer & enterprise blockchain industry, working with some of the biggest names in the fintech space. They’re full advocates of blockchain and decentralized finance, and plan to be the go-to location for blockchain consulting.

 

Their tech stack is heavily weighted toward Functional Programming, and particularly Scala (specifically Cats, ZIO, Akka, Play, etc.) though candidates coming with significant experience in Functional Programming using Java with Spring or Spring Boot will be considered.

 

About the role:

This is a bit of a “contribute across the spectrum” role – though Scala will play a leading role in all of your day-to-day coding. You’ll have the chance to contribute to platform architecture, product roadmaps, design & deliver high-quality KPIs, and much more.

 

Remember, this is a blockchain company; nothing is off the table for what you may have the opportunity to contribute to on a daily basis!

 

About you:

Well the name of the game here is Scala. Any level of Scala experience will be considered, but you must be excited to continue to work in grow in this rapidly-growing-in-popularity language. You’ll have the opportunity to use a bit of everything in the Scala ecosystem, including both the Lightbend and Typelevel stacks.

Salary:

Senior level: $170-240k plus benefits & bonus

Mid-level: $140-160k plus benefits & bonus

Junior level: $100-130k plus benefits & bonus
