Role: Scala Developer
Location: Hybrid in London - a few times per month.
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £95k
Signify Technology's clients are a world renowned company in the sports industry who are seeking to expand their engineering team in the UK, where they are now looking for an experienced Scala developer
Responsibilities:
- Build globally scalable software architecture.
- Implement features in a suitable programming language.
- Take ownership of delivering features and improvements solving the business problem at hand.
About You:
- Strong, recent commercial experience with Scala - 4+ years
- Experience with the Akka eco-system.
- Prior experience with type-level libraries (Cats, Cats Effect etc.) is a plus.
- Relational database experience - ideally with Postgres
- Experience working on and deploying to cloud services (especially AWS)
- Knowledge of working with build pipelines and continuous deployment models
- Experience in building globally scalable software architecture.
