This is an opportunity for a gaming company that have established themselves as one of the biggest Scala houses within Europe, from open-source, tech meet ups and community engagement.

The position includes developing cutting edge games for consumers to love and enjoy, all from the ground up. This company are searching for Scala engineers of all levels to join the development team and express ideologies and grow.

What you'll be doing

• Add new features and new integration to the existing platform
• Using Scala, Akka, Cats+Effect, Tagless Final, fs2, ZIO, AWS, k8s
• Build high quality games from the ground up (greenfield projects)
• Using a pragmatic functional stack that adapts to specific project
• Use initiative to support the team and give input for better implementations

Requirements

• Extensive professional experience using the Scala programming language
• Experience using functional libraries in professional tech stack
• Have previous experience with ZIO or a passion to learn and integrate into working stack
• Must be proficient in building microservices using Akka
• Expertise in cloud environments and supporting containers, such as AWS and Kubernetes
