**What You'll Be Doing:**
1. **Innovate for Life:** Contribute to the development of high-quality, well-tested features that directly contribute to the early detection and treatment of lung cancer. Your work will play a crucial role in shaping the future of cancer care.
2. **Tech Pioneer:** Be at the forefront of technology. Proactively research and bring new technologies to the team, ensuring we maintain our edge. Collaborate with product management, AI scientists, and the broader engineering team to drive optimal decisions in the lung cancer patient journey.
3. **Mastermind of Efficiency:** Help maintain and improve our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. Develop primarily with Scala, alongside Typescript, Python, and SQL. Utilize your expertise in both object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming (FP) best practices to build solutions that prioritize maintainability, security, and performance.
**What We're Looking For:**
1. **Tech Maestro:** 5+ years' experience building Scala applications or with another JVM language. Familiarity with OOP and FP best practices. Experience deploying and maintaining services in cloud infrastructure (Azure or AWS) and proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) best practices.
2. **Problem Solver Extraordinaire:** Persistent in the face of roadblocks, you efficiently dispatch challenges, requiring minimal direction/oversight. Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in production environments.
3. **Desirable Skills:** Extensive experience with the Scala programming language and frameworks like Cats, Cats Effect, and http4s. Familiarity with Azure, Ansible, Front End development (e.g., React, TS, CSS), and knowledge of medical industry standards such as HL7 and Dicom.
