Job Description
An innovative company using the latest in AI technology to power data driven decisions, is seeking a Lead Technical Engineer to direct their data engineering team in the development of their privacy-safe SaaS platform used by well-known organizations.You will be responsible for the optimization, creation, and implementation of large-scale data sets and ETL pipelines/processes. Strong familiarity with Data Structures, Algorithms, Performance, and Scalability is necessary. Ideally, they are looking for people who already have prior experience with high-volume, large-scale, and complex data sets in addition to data integration and data streaming.

Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional Data Engineering experience building distributed and scalable systems
- Proficient in Java with experience in architecture design and deploying microservices at scale
- 2+ year of Scala experience (with Spark)
- Kafka, Hadoop, and Docker
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS) is a must-have
- Experience processing high volume of data in ETL pipelines
- Experience developing and managing APIs
- Ability to lead and guide a team with strong communication skills and team driven mindset
This position is fully remote anywhere in the US except California. Candidates must be okay with working in either MST or EST. This is a full-time position available only to those with valid US work authorization. We will not be able to consider third-party candidates for this position.
