One of the most unique roles I'm currently hiring for is with a cutting-edge, leading geolocation and IP intelligence company seeking a Lead Software Engineer to develop their location data platform using functional Scala and big data with Spark on AWS microservices architecture.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data pipelines on AWS for billions of data points
• Query and provide data while ensuring high quality with analysis, test, and algorithms
• Solve problems related to location using Scala, Spark, and real-time streaming services like Kafka
• You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with the team and leaders, and have a willingness to self-teach

Requirements:

• 7 years experience in software development
• 4+ years experience with Scala/Spark
• 3+ years with AWS or similar cloud
• 3+ years with SQL / relational databases
• Previous experience writing and building software from scratch
• Geospatial tool or geolocation data experience a PLUS
