We are hiring a Lead Scala Engineer for an outstanding, mission-focused company. My client is building a ML-driven platform to help people get out of debt in a more manageable way, and is looking for functional Scala engineers with lead or mentorship experience. It's not often you see a debt collection agency with nearly a 5-star rating on Google reviews, but they've achieved it and helped thousands of struggling individuals across the US!
As previously mentioned, we are looking for a Lead Scala Engineer who will mentor, train and help build the team. This is a senior position and therefore will be compensated very well!
Required:
- 4+ years software development
- 2+ years typelevel Scala experience (Cats, HTTP4s, Zio etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Empathetic and ready to make a difference
Nice to have:
- Management or lead experience
- Experience with microservices and/or cloud computing platforms
- Experience in finance, lending, or debt collection
- Familiarity with agile methodology
