Role: Junior Backend DeveloperLocation: Portugal (fully remote)
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: €30,000 - €40,000 + 10% bonus
Signify Technology has partnered with an exciting Fintech company whose financial platform has transformed how individuals, companies and financial institutions best handle their assets. The platform has served $130 Billion + worth of client assets across global markets.
They are looking for a Junior Backend Developer to join their Portugal based teams working on key elements of the client’s platform. You will be working alongside a senior member of the team on an exciting project with a great tech stack while developing a deep understanding of the business and work closely with the Product Management team to drive new initiatives, helping to coordinate and guide technology decisions through the development lifecycle. This is an opportunity to gain great exposure to coding on a scalable system in an agile environment.
The tech stack used is open-source technologies Scala, Akka, Postgres and cloud technologies AWS. Experience with Java is welcomed if your motivated to learn Scala.
Requirements
- Experience working with Java or Scala (big plus) – willing to learn? The client wants to teach/upskill you!
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS)
- Experience building APIs
- Knowledge or willing to learn about financial products and markets
- Excellent communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
