We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Golang Developer to join our team. As a Contract Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend services using Golang. Your expertise in Vue.js, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and PostgreSQL will be crucial in building scalable and robust applications. This is a contract position for an initial duration of 12 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Golang, ensuring code quality and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions.
- Integrate frontend components developed with Vue.js into the backend services.
- Work with PostgreSQL to design and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Write unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy applications on GCP and ensure system reliability.
- Strong proficiency in Golang, with a proven track record of building and maintaining scalable applications.
- Solid experience in developing frontend applications using Vue.js.
- In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience in designing efficient database schemas and writing optimized queries.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, such as App Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, and Cloud SQL.
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with other backend languages, such as Python or Node.js.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience with related tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
- This is a remote contract position open to candidates based in Germany. You will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home or any other location of your choice. However, occasional on-site meetings or team gatherings may be required, and travel within Germany might be necessary.
