Role:
Join our DevOps Team, a pivotal force in maintaining the smooth operation of production and development environments. As a DevOps Engineer, you'll leverage robust DevOps principles and advanced cloud capabilities to execute the Platform Infrastructure strategy. We seek proactive and creative professionals passionate about implementing cutting-edge cloud computing capabilities.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of DevOps, TechOps, or SRE experience, including at least 2 years in AWS
- Microservices experience in a production environment (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong Linux OS and command-line/scripting skills, and knowledge of configuration management principles
- Working knowledge of databases such as MongoDB, Postgres, DynamoDB
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog, NewRelic, and ELK in the cloud
- Coding proficiency beyond scripting in Python, Ruby, or Java
- Cloud-based compute provisioning using Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on creative and commercial solutions
- Experience in architecting and implementing Microservice-based architecture
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Ability to design and implement complex, easily-managed, automated infrastructure
- Desire to collaborate, share knowledge, and learn as part of a team
- AWS certifications are a plus
**Responsibilities:**
- Contribute to building highly available solutions across the entire SDLC stack, emphasizing an internet-facing fintech site
- Collaborate closely with Application Developers and QA Automation Engineering to ensure solutions align with specifications
- Develop and maintain tools to enhance the development environment on MacOS and Linux, with a focus on improving developer productivity
- Participate in maintaining site reliability, emphasizing building highly scalable systems with resiliency and high availability
- Develop software and tooling to secure and automate cloud infrastructure, building software delivery capabilities with fully automatic workflows
- Design and operate a Kubernetes environment for container management and orchestration
- Apply expertise in distributed systems design, maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting/debugging skills
