Job Description
Role: Senior Scala Developer
Location: 100% Remote working - EU
Rate: Competitive
Contract length: 12 months (extendable)
Signify Technology’s client is a valuable player in the cyber security industry. They’re currently building their in house cyber security platform in which they are offering a long term opportunity to backed Scala developers. The tech stack they are currently using includes Tyepelevel stack: Cats, Cats-effect, fs2, Doobie, Circe, http4s and Akka.
Responsibility
- Build Scala applications using the Typelevel Stack (Cats Effect, Http4s, Doobie, Circe).
- Develop analytics tools to support diverse tasks for customer applications
- Liaise with Data teams to improve efficiency of algorithms
- Develop high performing distributed systems and applications
- Supporting customers through team collaboration
Requirements
- At least 4 years experience in Scala
- At least 2 years experience using the Typelevel stack (Cats Effect, Http4s, Doobie, Circe)
- At least 1 years’ experience using Akka
Desirable:
- Experience using Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience using AWS and Kafka
- Experience with finance applications or security
